Welcome to the new blog
Welcome to my brand-spanking new premises! I have spent the past few weeks carving out this new little corner of the internet, and am delighted it is ready to share.
Thank you so much to all of you who have been part of this blog. I started blogging a little over three years ago, and I never imagined how much fulfilment I would get from it. It began as a place to celebrate what inspired me, to share our travel experiences with friends and family around the world and to capture baking attempts that didn’t result in charcoaled crumbs. It has been a much cherished creative outlet, and thank you for indulging me.
I decided a little spruce-up was in need, so allow me to introduce you to With Love Kate: a work of heart celebrating life’s little pleasures. I have grand plans. You’ll still see our attempts at learning this new parenting jam, snippets of our travels, and some of my favourite recipes. I desperately want to profile some of the people in my life who are doing interesting and amazing things; their stories are too good not to share. I have the other odd idea or two bouncing round - so, stay tuned.
I have really enjoyed writing as if we’re friends chatting over a coffee. It is so important to me to keep things honest. Those moments where you have messaged saying ‘me too’ and ‘thank you so much for sharing, I thought it was just me' have kept me going. So, thank you. And please keep letting me know your thoughts and ideas, I love hearing from you all.
And the name? ‘With LvK’ is how I used to sign off on my text messages (remember those, with the character limits?!) I thought it was about time to spell it out in full as it reflects what this space is about.
